Masonic Activity

Wednesday 3rd December saw a very special event for Hope Valley Lodge, when Bro. Steve Broomhead was installed as Worshipful Master for the next 12 months. Steve served in the Army as a Staff Sergeant in the Royal Engineers and on retirement from the Army joined the Air Cadet Organisation, becoming the Commanding Officer of 1890 (Dronfield) Squadron. For the day job, Steve is the Morturary Manager for a local firm of undertakers.

Wednesday 3rd December we will be holding a 1st Degree ceremony, so, if you are suitably qualified and would like to come along please contact the lodge secretary, Mark Ivey on mark_ivey@myyahoo.com

Friday December 12th is the Lodge Annual Quiz Night. It’s meant to be fun, but does get very competitive. The Quiz usually raises between 2 and 300 pounds for charity.

Everyone, Masons, non Masons their families and friends are welcome to what is a very entertaining evening. We hold it in Dore Masonic Hall’s dining room which is also a suitable venue for Sunday lunches and Ladies Nights.
